e n t e rWe wanderers are called by many names. Gypsies. Rogues. Vagrants. But not all of us wander alone ... Our spirits lead us, and only our spirits. ~ We are the ones who are loyal and true, Keeping to the force that binds us to our protectors, Never wanting to be free from their guiding hands. Our masters lead us, and only our masters. --- Winter Lights is split into two halves: The Wild and The Mastered. The Wild, the wolven folk of Winter Lights, do not care for Man, and never shall care for the likes of Man. Man is but a strange, new being that has entered their lands, taking what is rightfully theirs - including some of their own, who have come to call themselves The Mastered. The Mastered live up to their name: living under the beck and call of their two-legged leaders, the ones they have come to trust and to depend upon, their true wild instinct being lost in the process - being replaced by unlimited loyalty and boundless love towards Man. They swear to watch over them, to protect and serve their Masters; to comfort them in times of darkness, and to hunt and serve them in times of plentitude. However those of The Wild look down upon The Mastered with disdain and loathing, seeing them as traitors to those that are true to the land and all within it and cowards for surrendering to the strange new creatures, not caring to fight for what is theirs. The Mastered, however, have found the Wild to live up to their name: feral beasts that can never know love or respect for those that they care for, brutal to the bone and completely without mercy. Man, however, only seeks to break and tame those who are left of the Wild wolves, no matter what the cost. w h o s e s i d e a r e y o u o n ?
